I love trying out new foundations as I feel like there are so many good ones out there and I’m still looking for that perfect one for my skin. Lately I’ve been really into makeup again, so I thought it was about time to try out a new foundation. I’ve never tried a Becca foundation before, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme foundation. It claims to be a full-coverage, 24-hour wear, water-resistant foundation – enriched with intense pigments and water to achieve natural, weightless coverage. It claims to give coverage without making the skin look cakey. Sounds like a perfect foundation for me, as I love full coverage foundations that will stay on my skin all day.
I’ve been using this foundation almost every single day for the last few weeks to test it out, and I have to say, I really like it. First of all, the coverage is amazing. It’s a really full coverage foundation that basically will cover all of the imperfections on your skin. On the days I don’t need as much coverage, I just use half a pump of the foundation so sheer it out a little. So maybe not a foundation for everyday wear, because it’s more on the heavy side.
The finish of the foundation is definitely matte, which I personally like because I have combination/oily skin. But I can imagine that this foundation will be a bit on the dry side for people with more dry skin. I definitely make sure to use a good moisturizer and primer underneath this foundation.
I personally use the color ‘Shell’, which is one of the lighter colors. I really love the color of this shade as it’s light with warm/yellow undertones, which is typically more difficult to find. The overall shade range of this foundation is really amazing, it comes with 20 different colors ranging from light to dark. I also really like the packaging of this foundation. It comes with a pump which is really practical, and the rest of the packaging is quite simple and minimalistic.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone who loves full coverage and has combination/oily skin. It’s such a good foundation to create that flawless look as it blurs any imperfections on the skin. One last tip if you’re getting this foundation: go a shade lighter than your usual color. Because this foundation has such high pigmentation, it oxidizes a bit once applied on the skin and therefore tends to look a bit darker.
