As most of you probably know, I’m a full time media student. So next to blogging, I’m living the student life, going to lectures and seminars almost every day of the workweek. Being a beauty lover, I do like to wear makeup to university as it makes me feel better about myself. But I also just love the process of applying it. Putting makeup on in the morning makes me feel so much more productive and ready for the day. When I go to my classes, I try to keep my makeup a bit more on the natural side – even though I know this might still be a lot for some people haha. In this blogpost I’m going to share with you all of the products I use most of the time when I’m getting ready for class. Of course, I do switch up some of these products every once in a while, but everything I’m showing in this blogpost are essentials for me on a day to day basis.

To start off, I use the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless foundation for my base. I think this is one of the best drugstore foundations out there as it has amazing coverage and lasts for a really long time on the skin. It’s especially very suitable if you have combination to oily skin like me and want something that will stay on and keep you matte throughout the day.

Next, I use the Catrice Liquid Camouflage concealer. I feel like this is such an underrated product since I don’t hear that many people talk about it. It actually is such a good affordable concealer that gives medium coverage, blends out very nicely and has a beautiful finish. This one is definitely worth giving a try as it’s so affordable and really good.

To set everything in place and make it last all day long, I like to use the Makeup Forever HD powder. This is a translucent loose powder that’s perfect to finish off the base of makeup. I love this powder as it doesn’t make me look cakey and keeps me matte throughout the day.

For the rest of the face makeup, I like to use the Mac Harmony blush as a contour shade. I do love a bit of contouring, even on an daily basis, as it gives the face a bit more shape and color. Especially after applying foundation and concealer, I think it’s really important to bring some life back into the skin. Mac Harmony is such a beautiful shade to contour with since it’s a bit more cool toned.

For blush I like to use Nars Orgasm. I think we all know this is a beautiful shade that will bring back some color into the skin and make everything look a lot more fresh. I love that this blush has a bit of a shimmer to give the skin a bit of a glow.

And lastly, I love using the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle as a highlight. I’m all about that glow and this product is perfect to use on an everyday basis. I just put this on the tops of my cheekbones, on the tip of my nose, on the cupid’s bow and on the inner corners of my eye. This will make you look super healthy and awake, a perfect little trick as the student life can be quite tiring haha.

Onto the eyes, I always use the Anastasia brow powder to fill in my eyebrows and define them. This honestly is one of the most important steps for me in my makeup routine. Eyebrows are so important for shaping your face and filling them in can really make a huge difference. After filling them in, I use the Anastasia Clear Eyebrow Gel to brush them out, make them look fuller and keep them in place all day.

For eyeshadow I love using the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics palette. This is perfect if you want to define your eyes in a very natural way. All of the colors in the palette are matte and neutral in color. Perfect for a simple everyday look.

To finish the eyes, I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This is one of the best mascaras I’ve tried and it’s really affordable. I love this one because it’s not clumpy and it makes my lashes look really long and volumized.

The last step is the lip color. I always tend to use a natural color that will last a long time. I love the Nyx Liquid Suedes as the pigmentation of them is amazing and they have a matte finish. My favorite color is ‘sandstorm’ because it’s the perfect color to use for an everyday look.
