I never leave the house without perfume and over the years I’ve collected quite a bit of them. I started wearing perfumes at a pretty young age, probably when I was around 12 years old. My mom was and still is always wearing perfume, so I think that’s what got me into it too. Over the last few years, I’ve tried quite a bit of different kinds of perfumes and I think by now I’ve figured out what I like and dislike when it comes to perfumes. I have to say, I’m not super picky with perfumes. I tend to like quite a lot of them, which is why there are still loads on my wishlist haha. But I do have a few favorites that I will purchase over and over again and I will share my top three in this blogpost.
As a little bit of background information, I tend to buy perfumes that are pretty sweet and either floral or fruity. What I personally look for in a perfume is very high longevity. I don’t like spending my money on a perfume that I won’t be able to smell after an hour. So I tend to like quite strong scents. All of the fragrances I’m showing you in this blogpost stay on my skin for a very long time, and I often get compliments when I’m wearing these perfumes.
1. Lancome La Vie Est Belle
I know, almost every girl has bought this perfume by now as it’s so popular. But still, it’s one of my favorite fragrances in my collection. It’s also by far the sweetest scent in my collection. Whenever I wear this my mom always tells me I smell like cotton candy. But I personally love the sweetness of this perfume. And even though this scent is super sweet, it still is more on the fresh side in my opinion. This perfume lasts for ages on my skin and I tend to wear this one when I’m going out at night or at any other special events.
Key Notes: Iris, Patchouli, Gourmand
2. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
Again, a very sweet scent but very different from La Vie Est Belle. This scent is a bit more spicy and warm but at the same time very florally (hence the name). Quite a hard scent to describe, but I’d say this is what I would wear if I want something a bit more heavy. I think Flowerbomb is a very unique scent and I’ve never found anything like it. I definitely recommend giving this one a try if you’re into sweet and warm perfumes, because I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.
Key Notes: Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Patchouli
3. Giorgio Armani Si
I love this perfume as it’s perfect to wear in the day time as it’s quite fresh but still has some sweetness to it. This scent is both floral and fruity with a bit of muskiness. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t last as long on my skin as the other two. But the scent is so beautiful which makes up for it. I personally tend to wear this perfume more often in the summer time as it’s a bit lighter, but it could definitely be worn all year round. I think this is a scent that a lot of people will like, so definitely a safe choice if you’re looking for a new perfume.
Key Notes: Chypre, Blackcurrant Nectar, Airy Florals, Musky Blond Wood
So these are my top three favorite perfumes in my collection at the moment. I’m pretty sure I will discover more perfumes that I’ll love in the future, but these will probably remain favorites nevertheless. I personally really enjoy collecting different perfumes to be able to switch things up every single day. I’m not really that person who has one signature scent, I like to have some different options for different occasions.
