I think we in this blogger community all have heard of the term #girlboss, and most of us probably strive to be one ourselves in one way or another. For me being a girlboss means to dream big, work hard and make things happen. I think that when you have a big goal or dream that you want to pursue, you should 100% go after it and do everything to make this come to reality. But of course, this is easier said than done. This is why I’m going to share these 5 habits I think every girlboss could implement into their lives to make it more successful.

1. Wake up early

In order to have a productive day, it’s very important to wake up early. I personally love getting work done in the morning, as this is the point of the day I’m the most productive. In the morning I still have a fresh and clear mind and this is why I find it a lot more easy to concentrate. Even if I have class in the morning/afternoon, I always try to wake up early to get some work done before my classes.

2. Chunk your work

Ever since I found out about this trick I’ve been so much more productive. So what exactly I mean by this is to take one specific task and do a lot of work on it at once. This sounds a bit vague, so for example, when you’re a blogger and you have to write blogposts, write three blogposts at a time. Another example could be when taking photos, take at least 5 different photos after each other. I always do this when I need new photos for my Instagram. I pick one day in the weekend to get all my Instagram photos ready for the upcoming week, so I don’t have to worry about not having enough content throughout the week. By chunking your work, you will stay in the flow of doing a specific task and you won’t waste any time on starting up new tasks. Just give it a try, it will work a lot faster and more productive, I promise.

3. Make a to-do list every night for the next day

Planning is so important if you want to get work done. I’m personally not the best at planning things far ahead, so I always make a to-do list every single night for the next day. This way, when I wake up in the morning I know exactly what to do and I immediately can get started on the first task. When planning your days, it’s really important to prioritize. So start with the most important tasks first thing in the morning to make sure you will get them done.

4. Fight procrastination

Procrastination is something all of us probably deal with or have dealt with, and and can be the devastation of getting your work done. The problem when procrastinating is mostly the feeling of being overwhelmed, of having so much work and not knowing where or how to start. So one thing you could do to fight this procrastination is to pick one task, set the timer on your phone on one hour, and just start. For this whole one hour you’re going to be working on your task, and after this one hour you can have a little break. This way you will actually get work done without feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to start.

5. Believe in yourself

Always believe in yourself, because if you don’t believe in yourself, then who else will? Having a positive mindset can be challenging sometimes, but it’s also incredibly important. Always remember that anything is possible. The dreams and goals you have can come true as long as you believe in yourself, work hard for it and put enough time and effort into it. So dream big, work hard and make it happen. Believe in yourself and you’ll be unstoppable!

Think this is a great post love your five things to do to be a girlboss. I’d add make your morning routine as streamlined as possible, I pick out my outfit the night before and lay it out including underwear and shoes. I also pack my lunch so it’s ready to grab to save time making decisions on a morning. I do to do lists as this keeps me focused. I think people think they can multitask but in reality you’re doing too much at the same time and if you do things in a chunk like you’ve discussed in this post it focuses your mind and you get more done.

These were all such great tips! I tend to live according to these guidelines but I do have to admit that sometimes I spend way more time procrastinating than doing the actual task at hand.. 😅

Great post! I always dubbed myself as a night person. I found it so hard to wake early in the mornings. But, over the summer I got an internship and I had to be in the office for 7 a.m. This was a 2-month internship, and, I’m so happy to say that now I can wake early. I have realized that I am way more productive when I wake up early and conquer the day. However, I’m still figuring out the planning and beating procrastination part of life.
