BEAUTY HAUL | NEW SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Over the past few days I’ve been purchasing a few new skincare products here and there, as all my old products were basically all used up. Even though I loved some of the products that I used, I decided to start creating a complete new skincare routine with products that I’ve never tried before. I’m always on the hunt for new skincare products, as I struggle with my skin quite a bit. My skin is quite sensitive and when I use the wrong products I break out very quickly. This is why I always choose to go for more high-end products when it comes to skincare. I feel like investing in your skin is really important, as your skin is the base for your makeup. When you don’t take care of your skin, you can buy as much expensive makeup as you want, but it won’t make it look any better. Also, having clear skin is so important for having confidence – at least for me personally. So that’s why I think investing in your skincare routine is definitely worth the time and money.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel

This face wash by Clarins is a very fresh foaming gel that removes all of the last bits of makeup. I use this in the morning as I feel like it’s really refreshing and energizing. This face wash should leave your skin detoxified and blemish-free, which is a good promise if you ask me. I’ve used it a few times now, and so far I really like it. I feel like it cleanses my skin very well and so far it didn’t break me out at all.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mist

I’ve never really tried any of the hydrating mists before, as I used to think they wouldn’t really add anything to a skincare routine. However, now that I’m in the process of creating a completely new routine, I’ve found out that they actually can be beneficial. I’m going to be using this spray after using a toner, to put back some hydration to the skin.

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

For the night time, I wanted to get a cleanser that’s a bit more rich and moisturizing than the Clarins one. So I knew I wanted something oil-based, as this is moisturizing, but at the same time takes all of the makeup off very well. I decided to go for this cleansing butter by The Body Shop, as it’s one of their bestseller products and I’ve heard a lot of positive things about it. I’ve used it a few times now, and so far I really love it.

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

I always struggle with finding a good night time moisturizer, as I need something for my skin that is not too heavy and that won’t break me out. That’s why I decided to go for this moisturizer by Clinique as I feel like it’s a very basic moisturizer. I’ve also seen really positive reviews on this products – which is something I always look at when buying new skincare. I’ve used is for a few days now, and so far I really like it.

Hope you enjoyed this post and maybe got some inspiration for new products to use in your own skincare routine. As I said before, I’ve only used these products for a few days now, so I can’t give you my opinion on them yet, but you will definitely find more on my blog about my skincare routine in the upcoming weeks. Please let me know in the comments if you have any tips or recommendations when it comes to creating a new skincare routine, because I would love to know!

What’s your favorite skincare product?

I totally struggle with skincare as well. I have acne scars and my skin is super reactive. So far (I haven’t been terribly into makeup for all that long), I need to stick to Neutrogena Naturals and Bare Minerals foundation. But I’ll have to try these! Something I’ve also recently loves are tomato extract sheet masks. I don’t know if they actually promote “radiance” but they feel so wonderful and refreshing!

I exactly know how you feel, skin can be such a struggle and it can be quite difficult to find products that work for you! Masks are indeed also really amazing for your skin, I haven’t tried any sheet masks before, but I really want to! xx
