A DAY IN AMSTERDAM | OOTD + HOTSPOT

Amsterdam is my favorite city in the Netherlands, and I always love visiting it with my friends to do some shopping, have some food and walk around in the beautiful canal streets. It’s also the perfect location to shoot photos, as there are so many beautiful buildings to use as your backdrop. So this is exactly what I did, I took the train to Amsterdam with one of my best friends and did some shopping, had food at a really cute hotspot and took some outfit photos which I will share with you in this blogpost.

The day we went to Amsterdam, it was a pretty sunny and warm day so I decided to go for a simple t-shirt, jeans and leather jacket outfit. The slogan tee I’m wearing is from Weekday. It says ’emotional’, and I love it so much. It’s a simple white tee but the red letters make it a bit more interesting. I also love the cut of this tee, as it’s a little shorter and oversized.

For jeans, I’m wearing a pair of Monki relaxed fit light washed jeans which I actually got on sale and I’m so incredibly happy with them. This has become my favorite pair of jeans because the fit is perfect for me. I also love the color of it as i didn’t have anything like it in my closet. I definitely recommend checking out Monki if you’re looking for a good pair of jeans, they have a lot of different colors and styles and they always fit me really nicely.

To finish off the outfit I’m wearing a simple classic black leather jacket from Zara. This is my favorite leather jacket because it’s a bit more cropped which looks really good when wearing high-waisted jeans. I’ve gotten so much use out of this leather jacket in summer and it’s also a perfect piece for transitioning to fall. For shoes, I’m wearing my beloved black mules from Zara which I’ve worn to death this summer. These are so comfortable – I’ve been walking around in them all day in Amsterdam and my feet were okay at the end of the day. And they go with so many different outfits. I’m also wearing my Furla Metropolis Mini Bag which I’m still obsessed with. If you want to know a bit more about this bag you can check out my blogpost on it here.

Now onto the hotspot we went to. Amsterdam has a lot of cute hotspots and this time me and my friend decided to visit Cafe George. After a long day of walking around in the city we were in need of some drinks and food and this was the perfect place to relax for a bit. I really liked the atmosphere here, it was very welcoming and very laid-back.

I also really like the interior and aesthetics of Cafe George. They have marble tables, and their mugs, bowls and plates have a very minimalistic look which is right up my alley. It’s the perfect place to shoot some food photos for Instagram – I think we’ve all seen the Cafe George cappuccino’s passing by in our feeds lol.

And most importantly, the food and drinks were actually really good too! I had a delicious cappuccino, some fries and a salad to balance it out haha. I really enjoyed their food and it’s definitely a place I would go back to when I’m visiting Amsterdam again.

So here you go, this was my day in Amsterdam with my OOTD and the cute hotspot we went to. Hope you enjoyed this blogpost!

Have you ever been to Amsterdam?
