#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso, founder and CEO of Nasty Gal, is one of my favorite books when it comes to motivational reads. It’s all about reaching your potential and becoming succesfull. #GIRLBOSS has inspired and empowered me to work hard and do the things I love doing, which is why I will share 5 things that I’ve learned from reading this extremely motivating book.
1. YOU CAN MAKE A LIVING OUT OF WHAT YOU LOVE DOING, WHEN YOU WORK HARD ENOUGH FOR IT
Try to figure out what you love doing and don’t be scared. Think about it, you will never regret trying to fulfill your dream. Work hard and be the best you can be. At the end of the day, the most imortant thing is to do something that you love. And by doing something you actually love, you are willing to put in the time, work and effort.
2. HAVE THE RIGHT MINDSET
This may sound very straightforward, however not a lot of people actually impelement it in their lives. Realizing the fact that we control our thoughts and our thoughts control our lives is a very powerful tool. This is very relatable to the law of attraction. You get back what you put out. Good intentions and visualizations will in turn lead to a more positive life.
3. YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHOICES YOU MAKE
You have a choice to either work hard on the goals you want to achieve or say no i can’t do this. You are responsible for the actions you take in your life. So if you want to reach that goal, start taking action, even if they are just little things. Every little step is leading you closer to your success in the future.
4. STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK ABOUT YOU
You will save a lot of time by realizing this. You are who you are and that’s not going to change, so you might as well accept it. At the end of the day, this is your life. You don’t want to be living a life for the purpose of pleasing others, you want to live your life doing the things YOU like.
5. SUCCESS IS ABOUT TRUSTING YOUR INSTINCTS AND FOLLOWING YOUR GUT
It doesn’t matter where you grew up, where you went to college or how popular you were in high school. You can create your own success through working hard and dedicating time to it. Do the things that feel right for you and know which rules to follow and which to break.
